Ideals from DEC and NAEYC ethics...

Professional and Interpersonal Behavior (DEC)
"We shall build relationships with individual children and families while individualizing the curricula and learning environment to facilitate young children's development and learning." Trusting and caring relationships are foundational to what we do. This is a perfect summary.

(NAEYC) "Appreciate childhood as a unique and valuable stage of the human life cycle."  Childhood is such an important stage of life. It sets the foundation for the rest of your life!

(NAEYC) " Respect the dignity, worth and uniqueness in each individual (child, family member, and colleague)."
This speaks loudly because everyone is created differently and should be treated with dignity especially if expressing an opinion you don't agree with.

  1. We are required to build relationships with children and families as Early Childhood Professionals. As an Eraly Childhood Professional we should be willing to provide a outstanding program so children can develop around a safe, healthy, and nurturing.

  3. I chose the same NAEYC ideals. I think "Appreciating childhood as a unique and valuable stage of the human life cycle" is just part of being a teacher. This is something we all see and is a large reason why most of us became teachers. The "uniqueness" of individuals takes that a step further by showing our commitment to our students and co-workers

  4. Building individual relationships with children and family is a beautiful foundation for success for all parties. I agree we should meet students individual needs instead of fitting them into a common box ignoring their potientials.
